Tool is one step closer to letting you listen to their music on streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Inc. This is fantastic news if you believe the conspiracy going around about a new record dropping from the band.
No one is saying much, including the band, but details are outlined in a recent Bloomberg article (link below). For one reason or another, Tool has been reluctant to employ streaming services. Others have as well.
In a modern world where traditional income from record sales takes on so many different forms, streaming services are another trickle-effect source of lifeblood for musicians. Big or small, every band has their own take on the outlet. As a matter of fact, The Beatles and Prince’ estate have only just recently offered their art on streaming services.
It’s hard to argue that streaming services aren’t good for music. It’s also hard to argue that we’re excited as hell to hear Tool on Spotify.
