In an interviews with The Pulse of Radio, Chris Cornell was pressed about an answer on Soundgarden’s next studio album. His answer was vague, but only to the extent that he cannot predict how big the final product will actually be,
‘I mean, I think we’re kind of halfway through. We haven’t really recorded anything, so we’re just sort of working on ideas. I think we have about half the songs we need for an album. But you never know, we tend to make pretty long albums.’
Perhaps the most important part of this is that new material is on the way. Cornell also went on to say that they should be hitting the studio this year. Good news for Soundgarden fans.
The band will embark on a short tour this May.
